Hi all,

We have seen already that for Gebiet 13, Hessen Nassau has given Documents for the “Zeltlager” events or camps for the years of 1934, 35, 36 and 37. Maybe there are more.

I would like to show you a small lot for the Zeltlager 1936. In a couple of days I will show you the one for 1935 too. Both recently acquired.

The document says:

“The HJ member Herrmann Mueller from the Bann 115 (Darmstadt) has visited the camp between 26th of July 1936 and 1st of July 1936 and authorized to wear the Camp insignia

(Signed) The Camp director (I can not recognize what means KAMF.)
(Signed) The Leader of the Gebiet 13 Hessen Nassau, Oberbannführer.”

Apart from that, the quality and detail of the Tinnie is quite good.

Regards

Antonio

camp

Hi nice one and the doc is realy hard to find and they are expensive

hi there, im doing research on BANN 115 PETER FRIES. do you maybe have more items from this BANN?

Kind regards

I moved towards Darmstadt (Bann 115) i have allot of information already, but documents/picture albums etc are hard to find.

Anything which is from this area would be helpful!

I have a health pass & shooting pass from a HJ member Darmstadt/eberstadt with luck obtained in holland last year. ( person died in 2018 )

List of HJ - BDM adresses and locations of training around this area.

But there is still allot not clear regarding the Bannführers etc etc. I was hoping someone has more Soldbuchs/mitgleidausweise.

Also Medals/pins etc from this area would help out.

But like i said everything regarding this area would be a huge help. even if not HJ or BDM.

Again, thanks in advance.

Hi Michaelnathaniel

Yesterday I got a new thing for the collection - a HJ shoulder strap from Bann 115 Hessen-Nassau and I think you should see a picture of it, since you are looking for everything about Bann 115.

I have also tagged a picture of the 3 things I now have from the area.

I have tried to find out who "Peter Fries" is, the man after whom Bann 115 is named - can you maybe help me with that ???

Hi Michael,

Peter Frieß was one of the "HJ martyrs". He was one of a group of HJ that was attacked by members of the "Eiserne Front" in the town of Lindenfels on the 12th of March 1933. He received a blow from an axe to his kidney area and died five days later in hospital aged 16. Another later martyr, Christian Größmann, was killed at age 18 after receiving stab wounds during the same attack. Bann 115 and 249 were later given the honour names "Peter Frieß" and "Christian Größmann" respectively. There were also Gebietsführerschulen that took the names of these two chaps:

HJ Gebietsführerschule 'Peter Frieß' in Querum, Gebiet 8 Niedersachsen
HJ Gebietsführerschule 'Christian Größmann' in Oranienstein, Gebiet 13 Hessen-Nassau

You can see a list of "HJ martyrs" and the units that were given the corresponding honour names here:

Fantastic information Garry, THANKS - and then a picture of Peter Friess, it doesn't get any better.
I am still amazed after many years on this forum how much knowledge there is around :first:

Hi Garry

When I had to take a closer look at the text under the picture of Peter I found that the HJ-forum logo covers some of the lower left part of the text - was it possible for you to post a new picture and text where you can see the whole text ???
I hope it can be done without too much trouble 🙏
