Got it. This is a very interesting topic, indeed. I can certainly send you high resolution scans of mine.
 
I accumulated a few more and found another variation with a number over 4000! also, a zinc-based pin.
 
Apparently the Anstecknadel attachment of the pin was very insecure as I have a couple official lists of a few dozen identified lost badges from 1938.
