HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Ron - bigwig - Weinlands Militaria. So he won`t even learn anything from his own forum, typical. Thanks, added.

9341, is made by Hoffstätter, and looking at the numbers so far from different makers on the HJ Gold Badge thread, it`s pretty safe to say that the contract for all 8000-9000 numbers went to the original first maker, Hoffstätter.

I agree with that. Certainly the Thüringen badges in the 24000-25000 range are RZM 15s (there's one on the forum somewhere and I found another from my list on the net plus Wim's that are in the 32000 range) so all badges with lower numbers than that must logically also be by Hoffstätter. I put a copy of an order somewhere on the forum about there only being one supplier at a certain time. I'll try to find it.

Here it is: How many makers of the Hitler Youth Golden honour badge were there?

So, all initial-issue badges with a serial number below 40000 had been issued prior to March 1936 and in June 1936 the RJF is reported as stating the existence of only one manufacturer at that point. This must be Hoffstätter meaning that M1/70 initial-issue badges in the 8000-9000 range can't therefore be legitimate (not that they can be considered legit in the first place after Jo's forensics but you know what I mean) . A replacement badge with a low issue number for example "B 1234" can, of course date to as late as 1939 and will not necessarily have been made by the maker who produced the initial-issue badge.

This one looks to be 8624 or 9624. Not sure.

8590
I can`t say anything about the WAF link, I don`t visit that cesspit. But`s Wim`s badge you posted, the number is wrong. Even on his linked-post it is wrong. Wim sent me that badge to examine 5 or so years ago, the number is 9590.. and it`s already linked in post 1. Here is better look at the number. It`s a 9 not 8.

Ah yes, your pic is much clearer. Can definitely see the 9 now. The other one I posted is definitely 8624. The top loop of the number is smaller than the lower half.

8624 added, sweet beans.. quite a cool long-term project if I may say so. The others too on the genuin ethread.. after a few years it kinda puts things in perspective.

Another point to note on these fake M1/70 badges.. not only the numbers.. but each and every badge, is undamaged :swiss
With genuines, this is never the case.
They are also not fire gilded, which all genuine HJ honor badges are.
